David Barbeito, CPA, a principal at Morrison Brown Argiz & Farra, LLC, and Ilaria Pezzatini, a Personal Trust Relationship Manager and Vice President at Northern Trust, joined the AI Justice Board of Directors in December.

Mr. Barbeito, a graduate of Florida International University, is the principal-in-charge of the Audit Department at MBAF and leads the Firm’s Middle Market Audit Group.   Since 1997, he has been providing auditing and consulting services to companies in various industries including professional sports franchises and stadium facilities (NFL, Minor League Baseball, and Arena Football).   He has also worked extensively with wholesale/distributors, hotels, health care companies and finance companies.

Joining the Board of AI Justice was a natural step for him.  “As the son of immigrants who were given an opportunity to create a family and raise their children in this country, I personally know the impact that organizations like AI Justice can have in people’s lives.”

Ms. Pezzatini, a native of Italy and a graduate of the University of Miami, is responsible for managing large and complex relationships with Wealth Advisory Services clients ($10 to $200 million), both on the domestic and the international side of the business.   She is responsible for overall client satisfaction and uses her broad-based fiduciary knowledge, experience, and bank resources to identify opportunities for her clients.

Ms. Pezzatini was moved to join AI Justice’s Board after attending a presentation by AI Justice lawyers.  “I decided to join the Board of AI Justice because the cause is near and dear to my heart.  I am an American, born and raised in Italy.  I have lived in the United States for over 20 years now, and I am still experiencing “immigrant” injustice and discrimination.   This is a great country, and its greatness is due in part to its diversity.  No one should be treated unjustly because of his or her national origin,” said Ms. Pezzatini.

AI Justice is excited to welcome these new Board Members and looks forward to working with them to increase our impact and support.
