They go on days without showers, lack essential medical care, and are forced to sleep on cold, hard floors. The situation is so dire that it has led to deaths in custody. Our work at AI Justice continues to expose and challenge these harsh conditions. We continue to stand with immigrants, uphold their dignity, and request accountability.

There is no right to free legal representation in immigration proceedings and without AI Justice, which never charges for its services, countless adults and children without the means to hire an attorney would be forced to navigate our complex immigration system alone, essentially denying them the opportunity for justice.
