Raquel Matas is a seasoned legal professional with over four decades of experience in real estate law, higher education administration, and public service. She currently serves as the Real Estate & Development Special ISD Advisor for Miami-Dade County, where she provides strategic guidance on complex property and development matters. 

Prior to her current role, Ms. Matas held several leadership positions at the University of Miami School of Law, including Associate Dean for Administration, Counsel to the Dean, and Acting Director of the Robert Traurig-Greenberg Traurig LL.M. in Real Property Development. She also served as a Lecturer in Law, contributing to the academic development of future legal professionals. 

Ms. Matas is a member of the Florida Bar, admitted in 1983, and actively participates in the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section. Her legal expertise is complemented by a strong commitment to public service and education. 

She earned her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University and holds an undergraduate degree from Regis University. Based in Coral Gables, Florida, Ms. Matas continues to be a respected figure in both the legal and academic communities.
